Why am I being charged for Amazon Prime?

When you create a new Amazon account or place one of your first orders, you get asked if you would like a free thirty day trial of Amazon Prime. After the 30 day free trial you get charged £79 for a year or £7.99 a month. There is also an option called Prime Video which costs £5.99 a month.

I didn’t realise I would be charged and don’t want Amazon Prime

Some people have said that it’s not very clear that you need to cancel Amazon Prime or that it will charge you for that service.

If you wanted to cancel or get a refund, we advise you call Amazon on 0800 496 1081. Other Osper users have said when they’ve explained the situation Amazon have been very fair when it comes to refunds or cancelling Amazon Prime.
