The Parent balance on your account is designed for your children to be able to pay money back to you, which should put an end to the "I've left my Osper card at home, can you pay?"

How can my children send money back to me?

Only the Young Person can initiate a payment back to the parent which means they will need to log into their App in order to send the money back. Take a look at our guide on how to send money back to your parent.
Every time your Parent balance is topped up, you will receive an email confirming the amount.

Where can I see my Parent balance?

To view your current parent balance:

  1. Log into the Osper app.

  2. Select More from the menu bar.

  3. Press on the Parent balance option.

Note: You may need to update your app in your app store if you cannot see the option for parent balance in the app.

How can I use the funds from the Parent balance?

When you make an instant load onto your Osper Card, we will automatically try and take the funds from your Parent balance first. If there are enough funds in your balance, this load will be completely free.

If there are not enough funds to complete the load using your balance, we will take the remaining amount from your Debit Card as usual (Fee may apply).

Can my Parent balance be sent back to my Debit Card?

It is not currently possible for us to automatically refund the money in the parent balance back to your debit card. 

To request a refund please contact our Community team. Refunds will take 3-5 working days before the funds reach your bank card.

Allowance and Parent Balance

The parent balance is now currently used by the weekly or monthly allowance.
